In the Salsa Tasting Tent, salsa purveyors and restaurants dish up samples of their spicy concoctions – from mild to wild – all weekend long! Salsa tasting ($3) includes a bag of Mission Foods tortilla chips and ten tasting tickets. The Festival is proud to present its own fabulous limited edition, private-label salsa, sponsored by Gills Onions and produced by Red Hot Foods. Pick up a jar of this year’s salsa in the Salsa Tent or at the Festival Souvenir Booth. Festival flavors include Awesome Artichoke, Chipotle Roasted Garlic, Fire Roasted Jalapeno, and Mango Tango.
If you make great salsa, why not put your recipe to the test in the Great Oxnard Salsa Challenge. This is the contest where restaurants, salsa purveyors and amateur salsa chefs compete for fun, prizes and salsa glory.
