This year's 17th anniversary celebration of all things salsa promises to be hot, hot, hot! Presented by the Oxnard Downtowners, the award-winning Oxnard Salsa Festival features the region's top salsa and Latin Jazz bands, non-stop salsa dancing, marketplace shopping, tortilla art for kids, a Salsa Tasting Tent, two international food courts, and the Dancing with our Community Stars Dance Contest & Charity Fundraiser.

La Costeña's Feel the Heat Jalapeño Eating Challenge Comes to Oxnard Salsa Festival on Sunday at 3 pm. La Costeña will award $100 cash prize to whoever can eat the most jalapeños in one minute.
June 21, 2010 - Accepting Entries for Great Oxnard Salsa Challenge Recipe Contest 2010
Amateur salsa chefs are invited to put their spicy concoctions to the test at the 2010 Great Oxnard Salsa Challenge Amateur Recipe Contest on Sunday morning, July 25 at the Oxnard Salsa Festival in downtown Oxnard. Pre-registration by July 9 is required for all contestants. The entry fee is $25 per salsa and includes one souvenir t-shirt per contestant.
June 14, 2010 - Salsa Dash Inspires the Community to Give Back
The Dash benefits the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, which helped develop the new drug that is giving hope to Jerry Magnuson, cancer survivor and sponsor of this year's Dash.
Registration is now open for the July 10, 2010 5K/10K Walk/Run & Kids Fun Run which benefits the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
